HKUST BDI receives delegation from Shanghai Municipal People's GovernmentA delegation from Shanghai Municipal People’s Government visited HKUST Big Data Institute (BDI) on 31 May 2018.
Led by Ms Tiehui WENG, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, the delegation included Ms Xiufen YU, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV; Mr Daxiang WEN, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning; Mr Guohua CHEN and Mr Zhenfeng YANG, two officers of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission; Mr Weiming JIN, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office; Mr Zhi FENG, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Division of Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV; as well as Mr Wei XU, an officer of the General Office.
During the short visit to BDI, Prof Yang WANG, Associate Director of BDI, introduced the structure and research projects of BDI to the visitors. At the meantime, the delegation expressed interest in collaborating with BDI in the future.
